Yearly Archives: 2013

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted something, but this week one of my goals is to catch up a bit.
This was my first photo session in Egypt. I was so excited when my friend Autum arranged for me to take maternity photos of Kim. Between packing, moving to Egypt and getting ready for the beginning of the school year it had been a couple weeks since I’d picked up my camera, so I was starting to get restless. All of these photos were taken inside the compound where Kim and Robert live. I’m in love with the beautiful flower bushes! Congrats Kim, Robert and Reagan…I can’t wait to meet your new baby girl!

This little man is such a cutie! His mom and I grew up together, so when she asked me to take his photos I couldn’t resist! Bennett was such a good listener throughout the whole photo session. He loved riding around on the tractor, but made sure he first buckled up and held on tight. He also made sure I knew he was ready…too cute! Some exciting news…at the end of August this little man is going to be a big brother! Congrats Jenn and Don! We can’t wait to meet your new little one!

Alex, Karly and their mom (Mollie) traveled to my parent’s house from Lomira to go on an adventure as Mollie put it (a.k.a. have their photos taken). The two of them loved riding around on the tractor, looking for rabbits and playing in the sand. I had so much fun working with the two of them…I love Alex’s energy and spirit! Karly on the other hand is just so cute with her red hair and blue eyes! These are a few of my favorite photos from their photo session…2013_AlexKarly_001

Brian is one of our 2014 Seniors! My dad and I went to their house early in the morning to take Brian’s senior portraits. It was a perfect day for photos…overcast. It ended up raining near the end of his session, so we had to take a short break until the rain let up. We loved not only working with Brian, but also taking photos on his parents’ beautiful property! Good luck in your Senior year Brian!

Last week, my cousin and her beautiful little kiddos stopped by for some photos – their dad, Mike, couldn’t join us because he had to work. Holly and I are only about 2 months apart in age and have always shared a special bond with one another. Even when I’m living abroad we find ways to keep in touch. She’s one of my best friends and more like a sister to me than a cousin.

The day before they came over, Sawyer was playing outside, fell and scraped up his lip (you can see a touch-up I did below). Even with his bumps, scrapes and bruises I’m so happy with how their photos turned out and I hope they are, too.

One more thing…right before we started taking photos, Holly and Mike asked if I would be their new baby’s godmother!!! Of course I said, “YES!!!” I’m so honored that they thought of me to be their little one’s godmother. 🙂
